Welcome to Simcoe County Local DECEs

The Simcoe County Designated Early Childhood Educator Local is comprised of 6 Designated Early Childhood Educators who work within the Simcoe County District School Board. The Executive is elected bi-annually by the membership. The Simcoe County DECE Local works to regulate relations between the Simcoe County District School Board and the DECEs employed within the board, including but not limited to securing and maintaining, through collective bargaining, the best possible terms and conditions of employment.

Our Team

  • Treasurer

    Laura has been a DECE in SCDSB since 2011. She is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful learning environment for students and educators.

  • President

    Amanda Judd has been a DECE with SCDSB since September, 2010. She became our Local President in December, 2010

  • Local Executive Officer

    Jennifer was hired in SCDSB as a DECE in 2012. Jen joined our Local CB Team in 2016 and is looking forward to this new role.

  • Local Executive Officer

    Sarah Murray has been involved in the Early Childhood Education field for more than 15 years. She started with SCDSB as a DECE in 2010.
